The experience of industrial operation of a new generation separator on permanent magnets based on Nd - Fe - B designed by EMKO company, intended for obtaining by dry magnetic enrichment of glass quartz concentrates of grades OVS-030 and OVS-025, is considered. The proposed separator has a number of advantages in comparison with electromagnetic separators of the EVS series of a similar purpose. Il. 1, bibliography: 4 titles.

The equipment intended for laboratory and semi-industrial use allows to carry out work from grinding components to obtaining a charge with a given size of fractions, as well as mixing components, their mechanical activation, etc. Il. 3.

The experience of more than ten years of research by the authors both on industrial glass-melting furnaces of various designs and on the basis of analysis of the results of mathematical modeling of heat transfer processes in the flame space of these furnaces is generalized. For mathematical modeling, the most perfect zonal method for calculating heat transfer was used. Recommendations for the rational organization of combustion of various types of fuel in glass furnaces are given. Il. 3, bibliography: 14 titles.

An automated line for the production of optical elements (screens, cones) for picture tubes was created. New mold equipment has been developed and technological parameters for obtaining screens and cones with a diagonal of 12 cm have been worked out. Table. 1, ill. 4.

The use of unconventional raw materials, the development of fundamentally new methods of enrichment of mineral raw materials, the introduction of natural additives of complex composition into the composition of aluminosilicate ceramic masses open up new opportunities in the creation of energy and resource-saving technologies for the ceramic industry. Ceramic masses with low porosity have been developed on the basis of difficult-to-sinter clay from the Gzhel deposit and its mechanically activated part, as well as additives - nepheline-syenite and glass breakage. The introduction of glass breakage into clays of different fineness made it possible to reduce the firing temperature and shorten the technological process of making majolica products due to a single firing. A review is given of the information available in the literature on the synthesis of strontium zirconate, the properties of ceramics based on it, and its fields of application. Attention is also drawn to the difficulties that arise when working with this material. Bibliography: 18 titles.

The experience of producing flat rolled and polished glass for construction and technical purposes using energy-saving technologies is generalized.

The influence of the technology for producing basalt fibers on their mechanical characteristics (strength, modulus of elasticity and ultimate deformation) is considered depending on the geometric parameters of monofilaments. Tab. 4, ill. 5, bibliography: 7 titles.

The main types of composite materials for medical purposes are considered. The effect of the compatibility of the components of the compositions and the method of their preparation on the structure and properties of implantation materials has been studied. Highlighted the classical and specific provisions of the development and research of composites for medical purposes such as calcium phosphate - glass. Tab. 6, bibliography: 10 titles.

Comparative tests of industrial and synthesized fluorine-free primerless enamels have been carried out. It has been established that fluorine-free enamels of new compositions are superior to existing analogues in a number of properties (firing range, chemical resistance, impact strength, etc.). The enamels are environmentally friendly, have passed extensive industrial tests and are accepted for production at enterprises that produce steel pipes, enameled on the inner surface.
