    Science for glass production

  • Zinc oxide in borate glass-forming systems

    • Pages: -
Glasses based on the ZnO - SrO - B 2 O 3 system with an additional introduction of PbO, Al 2 O 3 and Li 2 O, an elemental analysis of the inhomogeneities was carried out. The influence of ZnO on the physicochemical properties of glasses is considered. Fluxes with reduced PbO content have been developed. Il. 4, bibliography: 6 titles.
  • Development of color electrovacuum glass compositions and production technology

    • Pages: -
The possibility of staining industrial electrovacuum glasses with cadmium sulfoselenides is considered. The composition of glass for the production of automobile lamps, as well as the technology of their coloring are proposed. The technological parameters of cooking and shaping of bulbs for such lamps have been worked out. Prototypes of lamps with a yellow glass bulb have been obtained. Il. 2, bibliography: 3 titles.
  • Vitreous and glass-ceramic materials based on glauconite-containing raw

    • Pages: -
The possibility of using glauconite-bearing sedimentary rocks of Belarus - glauconite sands and enriched glauconite - as aluminosilicate raw materials has been established. The main physical and chemical properties of the synthesized materials have been determined. The color characteristics of glasses, the features of the formation of the structure and phase composition of glaze coatings and glass-crystalline materials have been studied. Il. 3, bibliography: 4 titles.
  • Science for ceramic production

  • Lithium-containing spalling-resistant ceramic

    • Pages: -
The analysis of literature and patent data on the production and use of lithium-containing heat-resistant ceramics is carried out, and information on the results of studies of the properties of products based on it is briefly presented. It is proposed to use the indicated ceramics as materials capable of operating under conditions of sharp temperature changes. Bibliography: 28 titles.
  • Structure formation of vitrified ceramic of house hold duty

    • Pages: -
The features of the formation of the structure and phase composition of densely sintered ceramics, obtained on the basis of low-melting clay raw materials of Belarus, complex flux and emaciated additives, have been studied. The interrelation of physical and chemical properties, structure, phase composition and temperature-time regimes of firing of the developed materials has been investigated. Electron probe microanalysis made it possible to trace the nature of the change in the chemical composition in various local areas of the material and to compare it with the calculated composition of the masses. The optimal modes of heat treatment of products have been established. Tab. 1, ill. 3, bibliography: 3 titles.
  • Deposition-sedimentation in synthesis of ceramic pigments

    • Pages: -
The results of the synthesis of ceramic pigments using the method of co-precipitation of hydroxides and poorly soluble salts of multivalent metal ions are presented. The features of the co-precipitation process and the influence of various factors on the production of initial precipitates for the subsequent synthesis of ceramic pigments have been studied. The technology of obtaining pigments is considered. Tab. 1, ill. 4, bibliography: 14 titles.
  • Raw materials

  • Glauconite raw from Belarus and prospects of application

    • Pages: -
A comprehensive study of glauconite-bearing rocks of the Republic of Belarus was carried out and the main directions of their use were determined. The chemical, mineral and granulometric compositions of rocks are studied, some of their physicochemical and technological properties are considered. Tab. 2, ill. 2, bibliography: 3 titles.
  • The effect of microbiological treatment on the technological properties of clays of different mineral composition

    • Pages: -
The influence of the culture of bacteria Bacillus mucilaginous on the structural-mechanical, rheological, drying and other properties of clay raw materials of various mineralogical composition was investigated. Bacterial processing of clay raw materials contributes to an increase in its dispersion and plasticity, a decrease in air linear shrinkage and a coefficient of sensitivity to drying, which makes it possible to shorten the drying cycle of products, reduce rejects during drying, activate the sintering process and reduce the firing temperature of products, as well as increase the strength of the semi-finished product and the finished product.... Tab. 3, ill. 4, bibliography: 5 titles.
  • Coatings. Seals.

  • Formation of low-temperature seals and coatings based on lead-tellurium glass

    • Pages: -
The process of formation of solders and coatings based on fusible lead-tellurite glasses has been studied. The results of X-ray microanalysis on the distribution of elements in glass-aluminum and glass-quartz junctions are presented. Il. 3, bibliography: 4 titles.
