Lyudmila Vladimirovna Sokolova was born on July 29, 1936 in the city of Kustanai. In 1953 she entered the RCTI. DI. Mendeleev, and in 1959 she graduated from it.
1959 - 1963 - Senior Engineer of the Research Institute of Art Industry. In 1963, she entered the graduate school of the Russian Chemical Technology Institute and completed the course of study without defending a dissertation.
1967 - 1971 - Researcher at NIIstroykeramika. In 1972, she moved to work in the journal "Glass and Ceramics" as a scientific editor.
1991 - present - editor-in-chief of the Glass and Ceramics journal.
