The processes of synthesis of the starting materials during chemical deposition for magnesium spinel have been studied. It has been established that the choice of the initial salts (nitrates, chlorides, sulfates) has practically no effect on the phase composition of the heat treatment products, but it has a significant effect on the properties of the initial sediments.
