The effect of an active substrate on the process of liquid-phase reduction of paranitrotoluene (P-NT) on a highly porous cellular palladium catalyst (HPNPK) has been studied. The rate of the reduction reaction was determined at a 50% conversion of the initial nitro compound in the temperature range 52 - 58 ° C on an HPNPC, for which various oxides and their sulfated forms were used as an active substrate. It was shown that the highest rate of P-NT hydrogenation was achieved when using HPNAP with an active substrate of sulfated ZrO 2 and g-Al 2 O 3 . The constants of the P-NT reduction process and the load of the nitro compound on the catalyst were calculated, which were also the highest for HPNAP with substrates of sulfated ZrO 2 .
