The processes of obtaining spinel-type pigments from a mixture of Al 2 O 3 and Co 2 O 3 with aluminum powder ASD- 4 and additions of MgO and ZnO by the method of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS). Blue and ultramarine pigments were obtained, their phase composition, IR spectra, structure and color characteristics were investigated. It is shown that the use of the SHS method is promising for obtaining temperature-resistant spinel-type pigments of blue-blue colors. Tab. 1, ill. 3, bibliography: 2 titles.
