A sol-gel synthesis was carried out by the eutectic composition method in the ternary oxide system MgO-Al 2 O 3 -Y 2 O 3 Used as a sintering aid for silicon carbide ceramics. A laboratory method for the manufacture of an additive is proposed, the effect of the synthesis temperature on the properties of powders is assessed.
