A technology has been developed for obtaining whiskers of zirconium dioxide for the production of high-strength ceramics. A comparative characteristic of the deposition of crystals of zirconium oxychloride by means of cooling a supersaturated solution and salting out with hydrochloric acid is given. A technique for obtaining whiskers of zirconium dioxide from oxychloride without the use of high temperatures and pressures is considered. Il. 3, bibliography: 3 titles.
