The sequence of formation of crystalline phases (cassiterite, lithium metasilicate, leucite and baddeleyite) was established and the solubility of SnO 2 and ZrO 2 in the K 2 O - Li 2 O - Al 2 O 3 - SiO 2 - SnO 2 - ZrO 2 . Glass-ceramics based on this system provides the level of physical, mechanical and chemical properties required to obtain the opaque layer of metal-ceramic dental prostheses.
