The effect of electric activation of the liquid-glass binder on the sand blend quality

The results of electrical treatment of liquid glass in a special electrolyzer are presented, as a result of which the fluidity of liquid silicate increases more than 2 times practically without changing its concentration. This makes it possible to improve the quality of abrasive products containing electroactivated glass due to better mixing and to exclude an additional adhesive additive, dextrin, from the formulation.
