An analysis is given of the known barium crystals, as well as barium-containing electrovacuum glasses. The possibility and expediency of their use in the production of light sources is shown. The properties of a new environmentally friendly barium-containing electrovacuum glass, for the manufacture of which one can use well-known designs of glass-making furnaces and molding methods, are presented.
