It is shown that the development of an energy-efficient design of a glass container furnace involves the use of modern design methodology. The structure of the traditional stages of work on a furnace design must include its mathematical modeling, which precedes the stage of the technical design. The boundary conditions for modeling should reflect the conjugate nature of the external and internal heat transfer, as well as the hydrodynamics of the brewing basin.
