    A technique has been developed for stabilizing the optical characteristics of float glass by adding specially selected dyes to the charge, the amount of which is determined by the difference in light transmission of two samples. The difference in transmittance of the samples for each wavelength ("delta") is detected and a graph is plotted according to the wavelength. Differences in the transmission of glass samples of different thicknesses can be determined from the peaks of the "delta" curve. Il. 1, bibliography: 3 titles.

    The effect of a combination of external factors on the redox equilibrium of iron and sulfur, the change in the technological properties of melts and the light transmission of colorless sheet glass in continuous production has been studied. A quantitative assessment of the direction of change in the redox potential of molten glass has been carried out. Measures are considered that make it possible in practice to improve the operation of bath furnaces by adjusting the oxidation state of the melt. Tab. 4, ill. 3, bibliography: 8 titles.

    Based on the analysis of the EPR spectra, the process of glass synthesis by the sol-gel method is studied. The processes of gelation and formation of xerogels are considered depending on the temperature-time parameters and the type of the initial chemical components.     The effect of a combination of inorganic electrolytes and organic viscosity reducers on the rheological properties of ceramic slips for casting sanitary ceramic products is considered. It has been shown that the addition of sodium polyacrylate and a phosphorus-containing component makes it possible to reduce the viscosity, increase the speed of the semi-finished product and shorten the drying time of the samples.     Methods for the fabrication of optically transparent ceramic materials based on Y 2 O 3 using carbonate and alkoxide precursors are considered. It was found that the ceramics synthesized on the basis of yttrium isopropylate, in comparison with the material obtained on the basis of yttrium carbonate under the same conditions of heat treatment and firing, has better optical properties.   • Sol-gel production of ceramic pigments with diopside and anorthite structures

    The possibility of obtaining ceramic pigments with diopside and anorthite structures using wollastonite has been investigated. It was found that the use of the gel method promotes the intensification of the processes of synthesis of the crystal structure of anorthite and diopside due to better homogenization and averaging of the components of the charge even at the mixing stage. A positive fact is the successful formation of anorthite and diopside structures at relatively low temperatures - about 1100 ° C, as well as the mineralizing effect of chromophores on the crystallization of these minerals.     The interaction of chrome-corundum and chromium oxide refractories of granular structure with melt for obtaining basalt fiber has been investigated. It was revealed that the chromium oxide refractory material does not interact with the melt.     The possibility of using a counter-flow jet mill for the preparation of press powders for the manufacture of electrical insulating ceramics is considered. The technological scheme of production and technical characteristics of the products obtained are presented. It is concluded that it is possible to replace the stages of clay dissolution in an aqueous medium, grinding, homogenization and drying with the stage of fine grinding using a counter-current jet mill.
