  • Physico-chemical properties of low-melting phosphate glasses in relation to tin content

    • Pages: 3-7
The effect of SnO on the physicochemical properties of low-melting glasses of the Li 2 O-SnO-P 2 O 5 (LSP) system intended for use in compositions for vacuum-tight low-temperature joining of various materials. Low T g values ??contributed to the high flow of LSP glass powders at temperatures below 450 ° C (typical for gluing electronic products). The weight loss during boiling of LSP glasses varied over a wide range (0.19 - 4.55 & # 37;), and glasses characterized by weight loss below & # 8776; 3 & # 37 ;, are superior in chemical resistance to lead-borate glasses widely used in soldering compositions. By optimizing the ratio of the alkali content, it was possible to increase & # 447; v LSP glasses to values ??characteristic of lead borate glasses

  • Effect of synthesis temperature on AlMgB14 phase composition

    • Pages: 8-12
The effect of the synthesis temperature on the phase composition, size distribution and morphology of AlMgB 14 particles obtained by direct interaction of elemental Al, Mg and B powders with the addition of free carbon in a vacuum of 10-2 Pa at 1200 - 1400 & # 176 ; C. The synthesized powders were analyzed by X-ray diffraction, SEM, EDX, and laser diffraction. The highest mass content of the main phase AlMgB 14 (94 & # 37;) was obtained at a synthesis temperature of 1200 - 1300 & # 176; C and holding for 1 h. Impurities MgA l2 O 4, as well as magnesium-depleted spinel and AlB 12 at holding temperatures above 1300 & # 176; C
  • Design of ceramic lining material with self-glazing effect based on stiff clay

    • Pages: 13-18
The composition of the charge for facing ceramics based on low-plasticity clay with an additive containing boric acid and lithium carbonate as fluids, as well as titanium dioxide as a hardening additive has been developed. The influence of the applied additives on the formation of the structure, composition and main operational properties of the obtained ceramics is investigated.
  • Phase composition in core-shell transition layer in matrix structure of construction ceramics made from lean raw materials with clay addition

    • Pages: 19-25
The process of the proposed technology for the formation of a transition layer between the dispersion medium and the dispersed phase of a ceramic matrix composite is investigated, and a technique for the manufacture of multilayer samples simulating at the macrolevel the phase boundary in the direction of the matrix - the core of the composite material is presented. A qualitative and semi-quantitative analysis of new phases, which are the product of interaction during the firing of a core from slime iron ore waste and a matrix from clay raw materials, is presented.

  • Production of aluminum-graphite composite by spark-plasma sintering

    • Pages: 31-36
An alumina-graphite composite was obtained by the method of spark-plasma sintering. The influence of the size of graphite particles, the compaction temperature and the holding time on the formation of aluminum carbide is revealed. It is shown that the use of larger graphite plates reduces the formation of Al 4 C 3 by almost 2 times. The influence of the graphite content on the density, thermal expansion coefficient and thermal conductivity of the composite is considered. It was found that with a mass content of graphite above 70 & # 37; thermophysical properties of compacts significantly deteriorate due to the formation of a large number of pores

The results of studies of the processes of interfacial interaction of a fibrous filler of different nature with an epoxy anhydride binder are presented. Various methods have been used to determine the strength of the fiber-matrix adhesion bond (FAB) in the loop, when gluing the fibers with an overlap, the calculated adhesion strength of microplastics, and to evaluate the interfacial layer (IFS) using thermal analysis.

  • Glass plastics - construction materials for the sixth technological paradigm?

    Autors: Bobovich B. B.
    • Pages: 43-46
It is shown that the manufacture of large-sized parts from fiberglass using transfer molding technologies allows solving technical problems, the implementation of which is impossible with the help of other materials. The development of available technologies and equipment for the effective disposal of such products will make it possible to classify fiberglass as the materials of the sixth technological order.

  • Tribological performance of metal oxide and hybrid composite coatings

    • Pages: 26-30
The possibility of a significant increase in the tribological characteristics of structural steels under various friction conditions by applying a layer of composite chemical coatings with a nickel-phosphorus alloy with inclusions of dispersed particles of oxides of chromium, aluminum, titanium, zirconium, boron carbide, titanium nitride, diamond, and copper phthalocyaninate is shown. The influence of the nature, size and content of dispersed particles in composite coatings on the wear resistance of a tribocontact is investigated. The optimal conditions for the deposition of composite coatings with increased wear resistance have been determined.
