On the basis of the ICS model, a mathematical model of the deformation of glass beams is proposed, which is verified using experimental data. The use of this model makes it possible to predict the behavior of glass beam samples during molding. Il. 3, bibliography: 6 titles.

An acidic method for purifying sand from impurities using orthophosphoric and sulfuric acids is proposed. The developed method makes it possible to reduce the content of iron oxide by about 10 times. Bibliography: 1 titles.

The reaction sintering of ceramics based on hexagonal boron nitride is investigated. It was found that the use of pre-sintered and then ground to a particle size of 45 - 125 ?m aluminum nitride is much more effective than the use of fine boron nitride or coarse aluminum nitride as an inert filler. The structure of initial glasses with a molar content of 7.5 - 15.0% B ₂ O ₃, as well as glaze coatings based on them, has been investigated. The original glasses had a liquation structure. During heat treatment of glaze coatings, it was established that anorthite was precipitated as the primary crystallization phase, and not zirconium-containing, as noted in glazes richer in B ₂ O ₃. The formation of crystalline phases is carried out on the basis of liquation drops. Il. 4, bibliography: 9 titles.

The physicochemical processes occurring during heat treatment in gel compositions with the addition of Н ₃ VO ₃ are considered. The phase composition of the heat treatment products is studied. The synthesis of oxygen-free compounds SiC and В ₄ С during heat treatment of sol-gel compositions in a reducing environment has been recorded. Tab. 1, ill. 6, bibliography: 6 titles.

The use of the FeO control technique in the molten glass, as well as maintaining the optimal FeO: Fe ₂ O ₃ ratio, allows you to stabilize the density and quality of the glass, even with abrupt transitions from one type of raw material to another. Tab. 1.

Methods for removing iron-containing impurities from technical raw materials are considered. To increase the efficiency of the iron removal process, dry cleaning of raw materials with self-cleaning roll-type separators with a magnetic system of permanent magnets Nd - Fe - B is proposed. The introduction of such separators will remove from 50 to 90% of iron-containing impurities present in the raw materials.

The experience of the Krasny Luch glass factory (Pskov region) on the transition to the use of local raw materials is highlighted. Tab. 1.

The results of research on the development of decorative-facing, heat- and sound-insulating building materials based on cullet are presented. The operational parameters of the samples were determined, the optimal technological schemes of production were developed. Tab. 1, bibliography: 13 titles.

The apovolcanics of the Komi Republic, which are analogs of porcelain stones, were investigated as raw materials of the quartz-field-feldspar type for the production of electrical, household and sanitary-technical ceramics. The effect of additions of kaolinite clay and low-iron Timan bauxite on the preparation conditions, structure and properties of ceramics based on apovolcanites has been studied.
