Mathematical models of the dynamics of temperature fields during annealing of glassware of complex configuration are presented on the example of container glass of cylindrical-conical and prismatic-cylindrical shapes. Critical areas corresponding to the minorant and majorant of the thermal field were identified. The results of computer simulation of the dynamics of thermal fields of glassware are presented.

The data of a comparative analysis of the melting and working properties of glass with the composition of E grade fiberglass with colemanite and calcium borate are presented. The physicochemical properties of the synthesized glasses based on colemanite and calcium borate have been investigated.

A study of the stiffness characteristics of fiberglass supports with a taper angle & # 8776; 89 & # 176 ;. A method for determining the modulus of elasticity in tension and compression in the longitudinal and transverse directions of the composite support is proposed. Experimental studies have been carried out to measure the elastic modulus in the longitudinal and transverse directions, formulas and numerical methods have been proposed for calculating the elastic modulus and Poisson's ratio in the transverse direction. It is shown that the modulus of elasticity in tension exceeds the modulus of elasticity in compression

Non-firing and firing high-silica composite materials for construction purposes based on quartz sand and blast-furnace slag, which are characterized by increased strength and durability, high density, abrasion resistance, and frost resistance, have been developed. They are technologically advanced, environmentally friendly, their production can be realized on an extensive base of raw materials with a minimum of energy costs. The technological and operational properties of the obtained materials have been studied, the areas of their application have been recommended.

Examples of the successful application of new types of diamond tools for highly efficient processing of a wide class of materials, such as glass, ceramics, sapphire, semiconductor materials, and various metals are given. The advantages of a bonded diamond tool based on a thermally conductive polymer composite are shown.

The modern systems for loading the charge and cullet into regenerative glass-melting furnaces with a horseshoe-shaped flame, built on the basis of the use of innovative loaders, are considered. It is noted that the use of such loaders in combination with adaptive control algorithms leads not only to a reduction in dust and nitrogen oxide emissions into the surrounding atmosphere, but also increases the efficiency of the glass melting process.
