Dependence of the cohesiveness of the alkali-silicate glass on the silica ratio (acidity index)

Based on the analysis of the calculated data, the dependence of the structure connectivity factor on the silicate modulus of glasses of the Na ₂ O - SiO ₂ system (silicate, boron, alumino and aluminoborosilicate) was established. Nomograms for determining the specified parameters and a forecasting technique are proposed. The expediency of using a silicate module as a structure-determining criterion in the design of glasses for hydrogen microcontainers has been proved. Tab. 1, ill. 4, bibliography: 12 titles.
