The expediency of building a CAD system for a glass-melting furnace is shown. The general provisions of the mathematical support of the CAD technological subsystem are formulated. The principles of constructing a mathematical model of the thermal operation of the furnace are stated. Basic equations are presented that provide a joint solution of the external and internal problems of heat and mass transfer, taking into account the specifics of the physicochemical aspects of the glass-making process.
