Possibilities of improving the protective properties of borosilicate melts by introducing deoxidizers are considered. The dependence of the oxidation rate of steel 30KhGSA on the Fe 2 O 3 content in the melt has been experimentally established. The rate of oxidation of steel 30KhGSA in a melt deoxidized with silicon carbide and silicon nitride, as well as a boron-containing product, has been determined.
