The effect of thermal gas nitriding of the surface of window, medical, vacuum and crystal glass on their performance has been investigated. The hydrophobicity, water resistance, microhardness, impact strength and heat resistance of glasses were studied depending on the duration of nitriding with various nitrogen-containing gas reagents. Technological recommendations are given for thermal gas nitriding of glass products in production conditions. Tab. 2, bibliography: 6 titles.
