Heading: Science for glass production

The valence state of cerium and titanium ions in aluminosilicate barium-strontium glasses with different ratios of cerium and titanium oxides is investigated, and an analysis of the possible composition of the formed cerium-titanium complexes in silicate glasses is carried out. It was found that during the synthesis of glasses, an active isolated interaction occurs between cerium and titanium oxides with the appearance of complex coloring centers. It is assumed that, predominantly during the interaction of cerium and titanium in glass-forming melts, coloring centers are formed between tetravalent cerium and tetravalent titanium.
