Facing tiles based on feldspar and Cambrian clays of Chekalovskoe deposit

The possibility of using feldspar raw materials of the Chupinsky GOK in the compositions of masses at factories producing ceramic facing tiles has been studied. The influence of this raw material on the shrinkage, water absorption and strength of products based on Cambrian clay from the Chekalovskoye deposit was studied, and their properties were compared with samples from the mass used by the Nikolsky Ceramic Plant. The use of quartz-feldspar waste dedusting allows you to exclude lime from the mass and reduce the amount of quartz sand requiring grinding. Tab. 2, ill. 1.
