Using of unconventional types of raw materials with allowance for their redox properties

The possibility of using unconventional raw materials as substitutes for sand and soda in the production of container glass, taking into account their redox characteristics, has been investigated. It has been established that the color and quality of the glass obtained can be predicted with the integrated use of such indicators as the chemical oxygen demand of the charge and the redox potential of the charge.
