Ash and slag of thermal power stations: an important mineral raw for silicate industry

The problems associated with the accumulation of ash and slag waste from thermal power plants in Russia and abroad are considered. An analysis of the chemical and qualitative compositions of ash and slags of various deposits is given, and on this basis, ways of their implementation are proposed. A promising direction of using ash-and-slag mixtures is their use for the production of glass-crystalline and other materials manufactured using glass technology. Bibliography: 5 titles.
