The conditions have been studied and the mechanism of the movement of the molten glass in wide glass-melting furnaces of sheet glass with a different character of the cartograms of the melting zone: symmetric and asymmetric arrangement of the batch heaps on the surface of the molten glass. The results of studies of the effect of grain size composition, specific surface area of ??the introduced metals, charge preparation modes, as well as temperature-time conditions of synthesis, the nature of the furnace gas environment, the range of the content of metal additives and their ratio on the color tone and damping properties of the produced glass melt are presented. A possible mechanism of the influence of nonequilibrium defects (dislocations) on the crystallization of glasses is shown. 1 The features of the production of glass-crystalline materials of the CaO - Al ₂ O ₃ - SiO ₂ system by the methods of continuous rolling and pressing are considered. The results of studies on the influence of various factors on the amount of vertical deformation arising during heat treatment of such materials are presented. It is shown that the different nature of the crystallization processes during heat treatment can cause different deformation stability. The optimal mode of heat treatment of glass-crystalline material obtained by continuous rolling is proposed. Il. 3, bibliography. : 5 names

The casting properties and compressibility of ultradispersed plasma-chemical powders based on zirconium and aluminum oxides after synthesis and annealing at various temperatures have been investigated. It is shown that, after relatively low-temperature annealing, a slip with satisfactory casting properties can be obtained without a significant increase in the crystallite size in powder particles. The effect of additives of transition metal oxides and sintering temperature on the strength characteristics of ceramics from cordierite synthesized with the use of mechanical activation has been investigated. Silicate coatings have been synthesized on the basis of metallurgical production wastes for corrosion protection of high-alloy steel during heat treatment. The main properties of the coatings are given. Tab. 2, bibliography: 4 titles.

The mechanism of the process of polymerization of ethyl silicate gels catalyzed by hydrochloric, nitric and orthophosphoric acids has been studied. The influence of the ratio of ethyl silicate: water in hydrolysates on the phase composition and optical properties of the heat-treated powder has been investigated. The synthesis of opal during the heat treatment of ethyl silicate gels is noted, and the mechanism of its formation is proposed. It is shown that the formation of an opal structure in gels retards the crystallization of cristobalite during heat treatment. Il. 3, bibliography: 9 titles.

Based on the regularity of the growth of gas bubbles, crystallization of metals, topochemical reactions of decomposition of solids, the kinetic equation of pore formation during the firing of granules from mineral raw materials is derived. The obtained equations are recommended to be used in mathematical modeling of the process of pore formation of granular foam glass, porous fillers. Bibliography: 7 titles.
