Special features of glass-melt convection over the width of the sheet-glass melting tank

The conditions have been studied and the mechanism of the movement of the molten glass in wide glass-melting furnaces of sheet glass with a different character of the cartograms of the melting zone: symmetric and asymmetric arrangement of the batch heaps on the surface of the molten glass.
