A technological complex has been developed to remove clay minerals, iron oxide and fractions heavier than 2.9 t / m3 from glass quartz sands. The basis of the circuit diagram of the apparatus of the complex is a drum screen of a new design, jigging machines and concentration tables with electromagnetic inductors. In laboratory conditions, it was shown that from sands containing by weight: 97.32% SiO 2, 0.92% Al 2 O 3, 0.43% Fe 2 O 3, 0.11% TiO 2, 0.04% Cr 2 O 3, sand was obtained by the most demanded industry grade ВС-030-В.
