The results of the development of methods for determining some quality parameters of barium titanate powder - the main component of a number of ceramic materials that are used to obtain capacitors are presented. The degree of conversion of ZnO and BaTiO 3 , the bulk density of sintered powders, the degree of their dissolution in hydrochloric acid, and some diffraction characteristics of BaTiO 3 powders, determined by the developed methods, can with a sufficient degree of reliability predict the quality of ceramic capacitors made from barium titanate powders.
