Based on the results of measuring the x-potential of hydrated quartz glass particles, the number of mechanically and thermally dangling chemical bonds Si-O-Si per unit surface area of ??quartz glass, which are the source of the manifestation of the electrosurface properties of particles, is estimated. Il. 3, bibliography: 4 titles.
A method for the structural interpretation of the concentration dependences of the properties of two-component silicate glasses (by the example of their molar volume) is considered, based on the establishment of a correlation between the values ??of a certain property and the degree of depolymerization of the silicon-oxygen framework (structural network) of the glass R, which reflects the number of non-bridging oxygen per one silicon-oxygen tetrahedron. ... The partial values ??of the molar volume of a number of oxides of the first and second groups of the periodic system, which retain their constant values ??in the entire region of glass formation, have been determined. The error in calculating the molar volume of glasses by the proposed method is ~ 1%. Tab. 2, ill. 3, bibliography: 15 titles.
The influence of a set of versatile operating factors on the redox equilibrium of iron in glass and the thermal transparency of the molten glass under conditions of a continuous technological process of sheet glass production is considered. Table 1, bibliography: 5 titles.
A relationship has been established between the refractive index, specular reflection coefficient, Vickers microhardness, chemical resistance of sol-gel films and their thickness, tendency to crystallization, structural features and composition. Tab. 1, ill. 3, bibliography: 11 titles.
The method for calculating the wave-like deformation of sheet glass during its movement in the heating furnace has been refined. It is revealed that for a multi-support design scheme, the traditional calculation gives approximately a twofold error in deformations. Il. 2, bibliography: 3 titles.
A number of radiation (paramagnetic and optically) resistant oxide glasses have been developed. Some areas of their application are indicated. Bibliography: 2 titles.
Synthesized soluble glass using sodium sulfate. Decorative finishing glass-ceramic materials were made on its basis. The results of X-ray phase analysis, thermodynamic calculations of redox reactions of the formation of sodium sulfite, as well as data of physical-mechanical and color tests of the obtained composite materials are presented. Tab. 3, ill. 3, bibliography: 2 titles.
A machine for rectangular cutting of sheet glass has been developed and implemented, which allows increasing productivity in the manufacture of rectangular glass products. The cutting head of the machine ensures a smooth entry of the cutting roller onto the glass. Il. 2.
The sintering of X-ray amorphous and crystallized chemical mixtures by the method of continuous shrinkage, as well as by the standard method of powder sintering, has been investigated. Water absorption, open porosity and apparent density of the obtained samples were determined. Il. 6, bibliography: 4 titles.
The dependence of the depth of the median crack formed under the cutting roller during glass cutting and the work on its creation on the speed of drawing the cut line has been investigated. It was found that the maximum value of the work of creating a crack corresponds to the optimal cutting speed. Il. 4, bibliography: 6 titles.
