The possibility of changing the surface properties of sitalls by crystallizing glass in a controlled gas environment is shown. The main gas reagents and their action in the process of glass heat treatment are analyzed. The technological parameters of the use of gaseous reagents are considered, the operational properties of glass-crystalline materials with a modified surface are given. Bibliography: 15 titles.
Experimental results of studying the effect of laser radiation on glass-crystalline cement and photositall are presented. Treatment with laser beams leads to amorphization of the structure, the appearance of microcracks, and changes in the mechanical and dielectric properties of materials. Tab. 2, ill. 5, bibliography: 6 titles.
The characteristics of glass were investigated using the methods of electron probe microanalysis, electron Auger ellipsometry, and spectrophotometry. The optical and color parameters of the tinted glasses have been determined, and the state of their surface has been investigated. Tab. 1, bibliography: 2 titles.
On the basis of the theory of deformation of viscoelastic materials, developed by R. Christensen, a method is proposed for calculating the parameters of changing the shape of sheet glass to obtain bent products. The use of this technique makes it possible to theoretically determine the time and load parameters of the process. Il. 6, bibliography: 4 titles.
The results of replacing soda ash with alkali-containing wastes from the production of an alumina refinery during the preparation of a charge of thermally polished glass are presented. Il. 2.
The results of research on the plasma spraying of glass powders on glass substrates are presented. It is shown that in the process of decorative plasma processing of glassware, a coating of a granular structure with good consumer properties is formed. Tab. 3, ill. 1, bibliography: 7 titles.
The experience of the Bor glass plant has shown that one of the essential factors in increasing the efficiency of the bath glass-melting furnace is the rational distribution of the total gas consumption among the burners. Recommendations for further improving the technical and economic performance of the furnace are given. Tab. 2, ill. 3.
Based on the analysis of patent information, a classification of methods for forming thickened float glass by limiting the lateral spreading of molten glass in the head of the melt bath has been developed. Brief descriptions of the patented methods are given. The main developments of the Saratov Institute of Glass in the field of production of colorless and tinted heat-absorbing glass with a more equilibrium thickness are presented. Il. eight.
The adequacy of the previously developed mathematical model of the glass tube annealing process has been experimentally proved. The refinement of this model in relation to the annealing of building glass blocks by taking into account the influence of barometric rarefaction inside the air cavity of the product on the process of occurrence and distribution of stresses in the product, and also experimentally proved the adequacy of the modified model. Il. 2, bibliography: 7 titles.
An acidic method for purifying sand from impurities using orthophosphoric and sulfuric acids is proposed. The developed method makes it possible to reduce the content of iron oxide by about 10 times. Bibliography: 1 titles.
