The preparation of multiphase ceramics in the CaO - P 2 O 5 system from mixtures of hydroxyapatite and monetite powders synthesized from calcium nitrate and ammonium hydrogen phosphate has been investigated. Monetite CaHPO 4 was used as a source of the resorbable phase of the composite ceramics - calcium pyrophosphate. It was found that during firing, a solid-phase reaction of interaction between HAP and PPA proceeds with the formation of TCP. Tab. 4, ill. 5, bibliography: 11 titles.
Calcium phosphate materials are finding increasing use for bone replacement and treatment. The influence of the phase and chemical (ionic) compositions on the biomedical properties (bioresistivity and bioresorbability) of such materials is considered. The principles of the formation of the microstructure of bioceramics, as well as possible directions of chemical modification of calcium phosphates with biocompatible anions and cations are outlined. The results of research on the development of glass-ceramic materials for medical purposes are presented. The influence of the composition of the liquid phase during sintering of composite materials on the transition of hydroxyapatite to tricalcium phosphate was revealed. The possibility of regulating the structural and mechanical properties, bioactivity and the duration of implant resorption by changing the ratio of hydroxyapatite and diopside sitall in the composition of biomaterials has been established.
