Borosilicate glass-forming compositions R 2 O - B 2 O 3 - SiO 2 - R a < / sub> O b (R - Li, Na, K; Ra - Zn, Pb). Correlation-regression analysis of the criteria influencing their hydrogen permeability is carried out: silicate modulus, oxygen number, structure connectivity factor, relative molar volumes of components. The tendency of permeability change is determined depending on the component composition and the specified criteria. Tab. 2, ill. 3, bibliography: 9 titles.
The drawbacks of the production of soda silicate lumps in bath glass furnaces are noted, the expediency of melting of soluble glass in an annular cyclone chamber using sulfate industrial waste is shown. A method is given for calculating the dimensions of the flow path of a cyclone chamber of a given productivity. The results of the calculation of the cyclone chamber and the entire installation with a capacity of 40 tons / day are presented, including the environmental and technical and economic characteristics of obtaining a silicate lump and liquid glass from it. Il. 2, bibliography: 8 titles.
A theoretical justification is given and the results of combining, on one float-line, technological processes for the production of glass tape of various thickness, size, texture and composition of the surface layer are given. Il. 2, bibliography: 7 titles.
The calculation of the limiting level of hardening of sheet glass, based on three classical strength criteria and equal to about 500 MPa, is presented. Il. 3, bibliography: 6 titles.
The experience of synthesis of pyroxene composition sitalls based on the mineral part formed by pyrogasification of solid fuels, in particular, during the processing of oil shale, is generalized. The structure and properties of sitalls obtained by different molding methods have been investigated. Tab. 1, ill. 2, bibliography: 4 titles.
A generalization of the design and technological parameters of cooling grids at a critical air flow from nozzles for hardening glass of various thicknesses is proposed. Il. 3, bibliography: 3 titles.
A method for determining the geometric parameters of a glass ribbon in a bath with a tin melt has been developed, and the influence of forming conditions on these parameters has been investigated. Data have been obtained and systematized, giving a more specific idea of ??the processes occurring in various molding areas. It was found that the equilibrium thickness of the glass ribbon is formed under the influence of bead-holding machines, and not due to free spreading at the initial stage of molding, as was previously thought. Il. 2, bibliography: 5 titles.
On the basis of the drop model describing the inhomogeneous structure of liquidating glasses, a unified expression is obtained for calculating the effective value of the electrical conductivity and the diffusion coefficient of the cation depending on the total content of alkali oxide. The proposed model is consistent with experimental data for sodium and lithium silicate glasses. Tab. 2, ill. 3, bibliography: 6 titles.
The influence of the chemical and mineralogical composition of aluminosilicate rocks on the properties and structure of low-melting technical glasses has been studied. Comparative studies of glasses based on traditional glass raw materials - pegmatite and nepheline syenite, as well as unconventional ones - gelleflints and glasses from pure chemical reagents have been carried out. It was found that the use of various natural aluminosilicates in technical glasses does not significantly violate the modes of glass formation, but it makes it necessary to adjust the ratio of the main components and additives. Tab. 1, ill. 2, bibliography: 4 titles.
A not quite traditional approach to the problem of melting and subsequent glass transition of a silica melt, as well as to the problem of crystallization of quartz glass upon heating, is considered. It is shown that during the glass transition of the SiO 2 melt, the enthalpy of the system remains almost constant until the glass solidifies. An estimate of the activation energy of the crystallization process of quartz glass is given. Il. 1, bibliography: 4 titles.
