Research has been carried out on the finishing of silicate bricks with glassy coatings using sheet and container glass, including colored, broken glass as a raw material. A decorative glassy coating that is well fixed on the brick surface and has a bond strength of 0.06 - 0.08 MPa with a brick has been obtained. Bibliography: 1 titles.
Sintering and properties of granular compositions with quartz-feldspar sand - waste from ore processing have been investigated. Low-melting binders have been developed that possess mineralogical compatibility to sand grains, reactive activity to their surface, favorable phase composition for sintering and ceramic properties. The effect of the composition, binder content, grain size composition of sand and firing temperature on the sintering of compositions for the manufacture of tiles for various purposes with imitation of the granular surface of natural stone (granite) and vitrified has been established. Tab. 7, ill. 4, bibliography: 4 titles.
The possibility of obtaining low-melting glasses with the use of phosphate ore processing products as one of the charge components has been investigated. Glasses of different shades of green, yellow and brown with satisfactory properties have been synthesized. The resulting glasses have a unique decorative effect that reproduces the texture of ornamental stones. Tab. 4, ill. 2, bibliography: 3 titles.
The results of a study of the features of sintering of ceramic masses when using high-calcium waste as a raw component are presented. It was found that at a certain ratio of alkaline and alkaline-earth components, the structure of a ceramic shard is represented by silicates and calcium aluminosilicates, which provide high performance indicators of products. Il. 3, bibliography: 5 titles.
A technology has been developed for the disposal of automobile lead-acid batteries for the production of various products and decorative materials that can be used for cladding the inner and outer surfaces of premises, for the manufacture of multi-colored tiles and other products. Bibliography: 2 titles.
Compositions of slab masses using local clay and metallurgical slag have been investigated. The optimal composition of the mass of floor tiles was determined by the method of mathematical planning. The combined introduction of slag and cullet ensured a decrease in the firing temperature to 1050 ° C. Tab. 2, ill. 3, bibliography: 3 titles.
