The leachability of sheet glass in time and across the width of the strip was investigated using various methods. It is shown that the use of the method for determining the thermionic capacity of a surface makes it possible to characterize the chemical resistance of glass. Il. 4, bibliography: 7 titles.
The modern development of glass container production is considered. The expediency of an integrated approach to equipping the technological process with imported and domestic equipment is shown. Directions for improving the design quality of glass-melting furnaces and refractory materials used in their construction are formulated. Tab. 2, bibliography: 5 titles.
Two principles of fabrication of elliptical silica fibers by the CO 2 laser method are described. The possibility of deformation of quartz blanks during the drawing of elliptical fibers is shown. The process of manufacturing two types of elliptical silica fibers is considered. Il. 2, bibliography: 6 titles.
The features, advantages and technological parameters of obtaining reflective and low-emission glasses by pyrolytic methods during the production of float glass are considered. Tab. 1, bibliography: 2 titles.
A technique is proposed and a specific example of calculating the diffusion coefficient of SiO 2 using the generalized kinetic dependence of the process of dissolution of silica grains in a boiling glass mass is given. Bibliography: 12 titles.
Within the framework of a model based on taking into account the interaction between the structural elements of two-component glasses, expressions are obtained for the interaction indicators as a function of the macroscopic parameters of glasses. As a result of the analysis of literature data, it was found that in alkali-silicate glasses in the temperature range in which the temperature expansion coefficients are constant, the interaction index does not depend on temperature. Il. 1, bibliography: 3 titles.
Comparative tests of laminated glass of various completing for impact resistance were carried out. Tests have confirmed the possibility of using glass subjected to a special heat treatment for the production of laminated impact-resistant glass. Glasses completed on the basis of STO-glass meet the requirements of GOST R 51136-98 for impact resistance. At the same time, the thickness and weight of the products are reduced by 1.5 times. Tab. 2, ill. 2, bibliography: 4 titles.
On the basis of experimental data accumulated in the scientific literature on the kinetics of dissolution of silica grains, a generalized dependence was obtained, according to which the kinetic curves of dissolution under conditions of diffusion mass transfer are unambiguously determined by the chemical composition (silicate modulus), the cooking temperature and the initial granulometric composition of the silica-containing components of the charge. Tab. 4, ill. 1, bibliography: 4 titles.
The effect of oxide-modifiers (MgO, CaO, SrO, BaO and ZnO), introduced instead of SiO 2 into the composition of borosilicate glass, on its properties has been investigated. It was found that the physicochemical properties (TCLE, temperature of the onset of softening, microhardness, density, water resistance) of glasses are mainly determined by the structure and phase composition and to a lesser extent depend on the type of oxide modifier. Il. 4, bibliography: 2 titles.
A new optical multichannel system for technological control of the thickness of float glass at the beginning of the annealing furnace, based on the interference principle of thickness measurement, is described. The system provides continuous control of float glass tape thickness simultaneously at several points (from 1 to 10) in real time with an error of 5 microns. Il. 6, bibliography: 3 titles.
